This can become tricky if you have a website service that has full control over your domain, emails, and hosting services. What I have learned is the hosting services will lock you in with a “free” email. This service ends when you stop services. I have worked with a couple of non-profits that we have managed this, but they pay for the email services through the hosting company.

I use Squarespace as my design and hosting to service my websites. I have used other services and I have found this to be the best one for my clients to understand and learn how to manage and update. A standard website through Squarespace will run $240 - $270 for the year. If I sign up for your website, they do offer a discount through my business. I believe this is $30 - $40 off. Doing this will put me in a managing and billing position with your company. You have options. The website domain can be purchased through Squarespace, but I recommend that you purchase this from Go Daddy. This way you will have full control if you ever decide to move your hosting site from Squarespace. A domain costs between $10-$20 depending on its availability. Google has a basic website that is free. This is good for personal portfolios.

We can set up training during the design of the website, or we can train after the site is built. I schedule an hour session for $65.00. The sessions are via Zoom or any video conferencing you are comfortable with. I do hands-on for 30 minutes and then create a recorded session for that lesson learned so that you can reference it. For example, in the first session, we would learn about how to navigate through your entire site. Logging in, billing, and printing off your invoices. The second session would consist of understanding your website pages and how to add or delete them. Page styles, font and color, and adding page styles. It is up to you as far as how much you choose to learn about your site. I am available to do this for your website, but I think it is wise for someone in the organization to know some of the basics.
